Thrifting

So, I've been meaning to make a post about thrifting since last Thursday. Here's the story: I took some old frocks to my local Buffalo Exchange. I managed to get enough in trade to get this lovely dress (with shoulder cutouts and a tan skinny belt) for free and even get a few dollars back (which covered the cost of parking):


Seattle is a wonderful place for thrifting {v.) the act of buying things you love and being thrifty simultaneously}. My go-to place for thrifting in Seattle has been Value Village. Some say that it's even cheaper than Goodwill... One of my best finds at VV have been this beautiful pair of black pumps for $7:


Another favorite are these two silk scarves in the style of the ever popular Hermes brand (~$5 each):


And speaking of beautiful scarves, I picked up these two beauties from a vendor at the street market on Portobello Road in London for 1 British pound each:
